Methodist School of Cambodia is top school in Phnom Penh

PHNOM PENH – The Methodist School of Cambodia (MSC) in Phnom Penh saw 100 per cent of its Primary 6 students pass the National Examination, which was held from June 26 to 29, 2007.

This is a marked improvement compared with a 92-per-cent pass rate secured in 2006..

Two MSC students, Monita and Tida, emerged as top students among all the students in both private and public schools in Phnom Penh. They scored 52 and 51 marks out of a total aggregate of 60 marks respectively..

The lowest score was 42 marks and the National average was 32 marks. This put MSC as the best performing school in Phnom Penh..

Mr Stephen Yeo, the Principal, said: “I would like to thank God for His blessings and all the teachers for the effort they had invested in coaching the children.”.

In the new academic year of 2007-2008, the total enrolment at MSC from Kindergarten to Grade 8 will be close to 300. .
