TAMIL
Methodist Church in Short Street became the 24th partner church
of the Methodist Missions Society (MMS) of The Methodist Church
in Singapore.
On July 13, 2003, at its Annual Thanksgiving Service and in the
presence of Bishop Dr Robert Solomon and the Rev Dr Clarence Lim,
Director of MMS, the congregation resoundingly took the covenant
of a partnering church in missions.
In his message, "God of Hope", Bishop Dr Solomon commended
Tamil Methodist Church on having a history of being a church with
a heart for missions.
However, he challenged the congregation to pray and work towards
raising an MMS missionary.
The worship service climaxed in a warm fellowship attended by
250 members and friends of the church in the church hall.
