World Methodist Council looking for new General Secretary
Word has been received from Rev Dr John Barrett, Chairperson of the World Methodist Council (WMC) that the General Secretary of the Council, Rev Dr George Freeman, has decided to step down at the end of August 2011. He will have served for 10 years.
The post of the new General Secretary of the WMC is now being advertised and a search committee has been appointed to receive applications and elect the person to take over as soon as possible after September 1, 2011.
