Outstanding
Educator Award
for Hakka MC leader
A LONG-STANDING leader of the Singapore Hakka Methodist Church was recently awarded the Outstanding Educator Award by the National University of Singapore.
He is Associate Professor Seah Kar Heng, 49, (left) and his name
has a double meaning - church revival and teaching is his joy.
Assoc Prof Seah, who politely declined to be interviewed, seems
to have fulfilled both these tasks.
He has been serving actively in his local church and preaching
the Gospel from the pulpit and in the mission field for the last
30 years.
He was the Sunday School Superintendent for 17 years and has been
the Chairman of the Local Church Executive Committee for the last
eight years.
Indeed God has blessed his church ministry as well as his work
as a professor of mechanical engineering at the NUS through which
the name of the Lord is magnified once more through his winning
of the award.
