Methodist Hospice Fellowship is now called

Agape Methodist Hospice

Its new location is at Methodist Centre

THE Methodist Hospice Fellowship (MHF) is now called Agape Methodist Hospice (AMH). The new name reflects the ministry’s emphasis on the clinical aspects of hospice care for home-based patients.

This means that terminally ill patients will be given full medical and nursing care in the comfort of their homes. The ministry will also continue to provide emotional and spiritual support through befriending..

Like all Methodist Welfare Services (MWS) centres and outreach, Agape Methodist Hospice is open to everyone regardless of race or religion, in order to offer all a chance to live life to its fullest..

A wholly-owned outreach of the MWS, AMH has been operating from Methodist Centre at 70 Barker Road since January. .

When the ministry was formed in 1990, it was known as Agape Fellowship. Comprising doctors, nurses and lay volunteers, the aim was to befriend and assist those who have life-threatening illnesses, their families and caregivers. It was renamed the Methodist Hospice Fellowship when it came under the umbrella of the MWS in 1995..
