Wanted: Church planting coaches
By NORMAN WONG
IF YOUR love for the Lord has
created a burden within you to share the Good News of His Kingdom
with others
If your daily walk with the Lord is transforming you to become
more like Christ
If you are leading or participating in a Bible study group, a
small group, a discipleship group, an Alpha group or a care group
and are being blessed by it
If you are able to travel at least once a year for the next three
years for at least four days
Then please consider being trained to become part of a church
planting team of coaches.
This is the burden that the Lord has laid on me for the next few
years. I am currently developing a very simple and basic church
planting training manual (about 1,000 pages) which is aimed at
equipping pastors who have difficulty reading to grow their church
to the point where it has the joy of planting another church!
I would like to put this material into your hands and train you
to use it!
The main method of instruction will be a coaching model which
relies heavily on asking questions, memory work, and story telling.
Imagine a village pastor in Thailand being visited by two or three
persons for three days, three times a year over a period of three
years. These persons sit and listen to his struggles, help him
find solutions and plan for the next few months until their next
visit. What an encouragement that will be to the village pastor
and his church!
If you are interested, please call me at 6478-4818 or email mms@methodist.org.sg
