THE SINGAPORE RED CROSS SOCIETY has written a letter of appreciation to The Methodist Church in Singapore (MCS) for its contribution to the Singapore Red Cross Japan Disaster Fund 2011.

In a letter to Bishop Dr Robert Solomon, Mr Lim Theam Poh, Director Operations and Head of International Services of the Singapore Red Cross, said: “I would like to thank you and the Presidents of the CAC, ETAC and TRAC for the generous donation of $560,000 to the Singapore Red Cross Japan Disaster Fund 2011.

“We assure you and your generous donors that the money will be used exclusively for the survivors of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

“We also thank the pastors of all the Methodist Churches for their prayers and expression of God’s love for the Japanese people at their time of need.”
