Voices of Praise to perform
in Melbourne

VOICES of Praise will present an evening of sacred classics and spirituals entitled "Sing Sing Sing" at Queenstown Chinese Methodist Church on June 4 and at Kim Tian Christian Church on June 12 in aid of their building funds.


The full concert programme will also feature several Chinese songs, including two familiar favourites, "Flowers of the Field" and "Stream of Praise".


The conductors will be Mr Goh Say Meng and Mr John Ang. Dr Emilia Wong will be the pianist and music director.


The 45-strong choir will then embark on a mission tour of Melbourne from June 17 to 23. While in Melbourne, it will hold a concert on behalf of South Camberwell Uniting Church on June 19 at Robert Blackwood Concert Hall, Monash University, Clayton, in aid of the Church Christian Education Building Project. When completed, the building will be available for community use.


Since its formation in 2000, Voices of Praise has performed several concerts to raise funds for Sengkang, Geylang, Telok Ayer and Queenstown Chinese Methodist churches.


Come December, at the invitation of Charis Methodist Church, the choir will present yet another fund-raising concert.


It is no wonder that Voices of Praise has frequently been referred to as "the fund-raising choir". Thanks be to God that members of the choir can put to use their love for good music and singing in the expansion of His Kingdom!


As Voices of Praise strives to raise performing standards and reach out to the community and beyond with the message of God's love, it seeks the prayers and support of all Methodists in Singapore.
