These Senior Ministry leaders have ideas

FIFTEEN leaders
from nine Trinity Annual Conferences (TRAC) churches have been
attending a leadership-cum-ministry training session on the last
Tuesday of the month since Feb 25, 2003.
The session is called "I.D.E.A.S. For Leaders". I.D.E.A.S.
stands for Instruction (teaching), Disciple-making (leadership
development), Experience (praying), Accountability (mentoring),
and Service (goals projection).
Each session begins at 9 am and ends at 4.30 pm. It includes devotion,
prayer, study and interaction and fellowship.
The participants have been studying the course "The Vision
of the Leader" prepared by World Teach, a Christian seminar
and training organisation. They have been looking into the lives
of various leaders in the Bible, focusing on their mentoring skills
and their faith in God for leadership guidance.
They find their time together each month very enriching and valuable.
They share their experiences, struggles and problems which they
face within their local Senior Fellowship groups.
These monthly sessions are also very encouraging for the Director
for the Seniors Ministry, the Rev Peter Goh, who gets feedback
from the local Senior Fellowship groups and helps them focus on
their "Mission and Vision for Ministry".
He said: "The time of togetherness and the bonding among
the leaders have been most beneficial to the Seniors Ministry."
