Breakfast Evangelism at Christ MC
By ALVIN TEH LEONG HAN
CHRIST Methodist Church is hosting
a successful Breakfast Evangelism programme. It has been a year
since the programme was launched on July 6, 2002.
Organised by its Hokkien Ministry, it is an all-church project,
supported by members of the three congregations - English, Cantonese
and Hokkien.
The objective is to provide a "non-threatening" approach
to draw non-Christian loved ones and friends of church members
to church every Saturday from 9 am to 11 am.

It is hoped that through socialising in a church environment, the guests will be gradually exposed to the Christian faith and in God's time they will eventually decide for themselves to accept Jesus as their personal Saviour. When the first meal was hosted on July 6, 2002, 82 guests turned up. Today, about 80 guests continue to turn up. To facilitate interaction, they are seated according to the dialect or language they are most comfortable with - Hokkien, Cantonese, English and Mandarin. |
