Kelvyna Chan appointed new ACJC Principal
ANGLO-CHINESE
JUNIOR COLLEGE (ACJC) welcomed back a former student, Mrs Kelvyna
Chan Swee Ai, as Principal on Dec 16, 2002 as Mrs Lim Han Soon
retired on the previous day after a stewardship spanning more
than five years since 1997.
A member of Christ Methodist Church, and an old girl of Methodist
Girls' School, Mrs Chan was a senior officer at the Ministry of
Education. Prior to her appointment as Principal of ACJC, she
held senior positions as Deputy Director, Educational Technical
Division, and most recently, Principal of Tanjong Katong Girls'
School since 1998.
She started her teaching career as a teacher at Temasek Junior
College from 1979 until 1985 when she was posted to the Department
of Educational Technology as a media producer. In 1986, she was
awarded a scholarship to study at Boston University, and in 1987,
successfully completed work and was awarded an M.A. in Education
in Educational Media and Technology in which discipline she continued
until her appointment at Tanjong Katong Girls' School.
