Leaders of faith communities

attend Christmas Service

FRIENDS FROM the Inter-Religious Organisation and other faith communities celebrated the joy of Christmas with members of Kampong Kapor Methodist Church (KKMC) at their Christmas Day Service last year.

The service was followed by a meal. Among the guests were: Mr Harbans Singh (Sikh), Mr S. K. Gupta (Hindu), Haji Jaafar Mah (Islam), Mr Tan Teck Hui (Taoism), Mr Kuek Yi Hsing (Baha’i), Mr Girish Kothari (Jainism) and Mr Necmettin Eskici (Director of the Turkish Cultural Centre). In a note of thanks, Haji Jaafar Mah said “I appreciate the Christmas Day music and service conducted by Kampong Kapor Methodist Church. Thank you for the lovely lunch and the company of good people in your church.” 

In a world so divided and pained by religious conflicts, KKMC hopes to bear witness for Christ and His ministry of reconciliation between the various faith communities.
