Zambian and PNG church leaders call on Bishop |

THE Rev Teddy Kalongo,
General Secretary of The United Church of Zambia (right), and
the Rev Samson Lowa (left), Moderator of The United Church of
Papua New Guinea, paid a courtesy call on Bishop Dr Robert Solomon
recently.
They were in Singapore for a meeting of the General Secretaries
and Financial Officers of the 31 national churches that are members
of the Council for World Mission (CWM). The meeting, held at Furama
Riverside Hotel, discussed leadership, stewardship and accountability.
CWM is a worldwide community of Christian churches. The 31 members
are committed to sharing their resources of money, people, skills
and insights globally to carry out God's mission locally.
It works through missionary exchanges, communication networks,
community projects, theological study and empowerment of women
and youth.
It was formed in 1977 and incorporates the London Missionary Society
(1795), the Commonwealth Missionary Society (1836) and the (English)
Presbyterian Board of Missions (1847).
