83 preschool staff receive Service Awards

THE METHODIST PRESCHOOL NETWORK held its Get-Together/Service Award presentation at Faith Methodist Church on Sept 30 to honour long-serving staff.

A total of 83 staff members, who have served from five to 40 years, received the award. They epitomised loyalty, steadfastness and commitment.

Bishop Dr Robert Solomon presented the awards and delivered the address to a total of 220 staff and management members. Central to the award’s theme of “Every Child Matters To Him”, the Bishop highlighted the honoured position of children in the Kingdom of God and the privileged position of those in kindergartens who serve the children of God.

This year also saw the Methodist Preschool Network recognising three of its kindergartens for having attained the SPARK certification of quality from the Ministry of Education. SPARK, or the Singapore Pre-School Accreditation Framework is an accreditation assessment tool which provides a clearer road map for kindergartens to boost standards.  

Miss Mabel Wee, Education Secretary of The Methodist Church in Singapore, congratulated Bedok Methodist Church Kindergarten, Faith Kindergarten and Capstone Kindergarten for having achieved an important milestone in their pursuit of excellence and sound practices.

The ceremony ended on this joyous note, and participants proceeded to a time of sharing and fellowship during refreshments.
