New appointments at Methodist School of Music


THE PRINCIPAL of the Methodist School of Music, Mr Goh Say Hong, completed his service with the school on July 31, 2011.
In May 2011, the school‘s Management Committee launched a search for his replacement and it hopes to find one in the fourth quarter of this year.
Meanwhile, the school has announced two new faculty appointments. Dr Evelyn Lim (left) was appointed Vice-Principal (Musical Arts) with effect from June 15, 2011, and Ms Chang Cheong Yong (right) has been appointed as Pedagogy Coordinator.
Dr Lim will concurrently continue with her duties as Organist and Lecturer, but in her new appointment she will also oversee all academic matters, including curriculum, events, course programmes and student matters. She has served with the school since 1997. She holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan, and is a member of Wesley Methodist Church.
Ms Chang will concurrently continue as Teaching Associate in addition to her new duties. She will be responsible for the development of the music education programmes. She graduated with the Master of Music degree in Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Houston. She worships at Crossroads International Church.
