Museum exhibit honours Charles Wesley |

THE World Methodist Museum here is now exhibiting a display
of prominent items related to Charles Wesley in the 300th anniversary
of his birth.
The exhibit is put up with the assistance of Dr Lavere Webster,
an expert in Wesleyan history and memorabilia. It is expected
to attract many visitors to the museum, which is located at Lake
Junaluska in North Carolina, the United States, the site of the
headquarters of the World Methodist Council.
The Charles Wesley exhibit includes hymnals published in 1849,
1859 and 1881; an original unpublished poem by Charles Wesley
in his own handwriting; a needlework sampler made in 1830 by a
seven-year old girl featuring Wesley's Chapel; a 2007 commemorative
horse brass ring from Wesley Memorial Church, Epworth, England;
commemorative Charles Wesley's busts; and paintings of Charles
Wesley, the great songwriter. - World Parish, international organ
